Jonathan and David Bartlett have been busy trapping muskrats on our farm this week. They received $70 for twenty muskrats yesterday, then used the money to buy supplies for their plans to trap coyotes.
For a large muskrat they were paid $4 and $2 for the small ones. For that price they were delivered whole and frozen. Next time they plan to skin and stretch for an extra $1 each. Muskrat skins tanned are selling for $10 each. It takes about two muskrat skins to make a muskrat hat which sells for $120.
We have been amazed at how God has so much value running or swimming around the wilderness. It just takes a little time, skill and diligence to take the harvest!
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand:
but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
